'Ere, Foggy, never mind Mealy vs Lesser (Harry Hill knows how to separate them), what about a Coues' Arctic Redpoll as per Birdguides today? I am sure someone's 'avin' a larf!!!!

ReplyDeleteWhen faced with a flock of them big pale redpolls you do become obsessed with undertail coverts and ageing !! I once spent a whole week just looking at undertail coverts, rumps and flank streaking on a flock of redpolls on my old local patch, and it was absolutely BRILLIANT !!
Just thinking about it makes me desperate for a large flock of mealies to appear..... 8)
